Account Information: When you register as a merchant, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and government-issued identification documents for KYB (Know Your Business) verification.
Transaction Data: We collect data about each payment transaction processed through our platform, including amounts, currencies, timestamps, payment method types, and transaction statuses.
Technical Data: We automatically collect IP addresses, browser types, device identifiers, operating system information, and usage logs when you access our platform.
Customer Data: When your customers initiate payments through your integration, we collect the minimum data required to process the transaction (e.g., phone number, email address, amount).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and settle payment transactions on your behalf
- Verify merchant identities and prevent fraudulent activity
- Provide technical support and respond to inquiries
- Send transactional notifications and account alerts
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including AML/CFT requirements
- Improve our Services and develop new features
- Generate anonymized analytics reports
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
Contract Performance: Processing is necessary to provide the payment services you have contracted with us for.
Legal Obligation: We are required to process certain data to comply with financial regulations, anti-money laundering laws, and tax obligations.

Payment Providers: We share necessary transaction data with Wave, Orange Money, MTN MoMo, Peya Pay, and cryptocurrency network providers to process payments.

Service Providers: We engage third-party vendors for cloud hosting, fraud detection, and customer support. These vendors are contractually bound to protect your data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your merchant account is active and for a minimum of five (5) years after account closure to comply with financial regulations and legal obligations. Transaction records may be retained for up to seven (7) years as required by applicable law.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, HMAC signature verification for API requests, and regular third-party security audits.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (where not precluded by legal obligations)
